Payne & Fears LLP (P&F) has elected Irvine attorneys Leilani “Lani” E. Jones, Blake A. Dillion, and Tyler B. Runge to the partnership.

Lani E. Jones joined P&F as an associate in 2014. Lani has extensive experience defending businesses in employment matters—in court, arbitration, and administrative hearings. She helps manage the portfolio for one of the firm’s national retail clients, and provides regular advice and litigation support to many small and medium-sized California companies. In addition, Lani has years of business litigation experience, including with respect to consumer class actions, unfair competition, fraud, and breach of contract matters. She is thrilled to join the firm’s partnership and continue supporting her clients and colleagues.
Blake A. Dillion joined P&F as an associate in 2015. Blake has built a broad practice representing clients in all aspects of employment, business, and insurance coverage litigation. Blake is an experienced litigator who represents employers in single-plaintiff and large class and representative actions, policy holders in disputes with their insurance company, and businesses in breach of contract and unfair business practices disputes. He also advises clients on various business transaction matters. Blake prides himself on providing clients with measured and forward-thinking advice that takes into account the realities of the applicable law, the circumstances, the client’s industry, and the client’s business model.
Tyler B. Runge joined P&F as an associate in 2018. Tyler is a highly skilled labor and employer lawyer who defends public and private employers in a wide range of civil matters, from single-plaintiff lawsuits to large class and representative actions. Tyler also maintains an active traditional labor practice, representing employers in union labor arbitrations and proceedings before the NLRB. Tyler enjoys developing creative solutions to complex problems, whether in the context of litigating a high-stakes case or providing day-to-day counseling to employers.
