Job Description: Payne & Fears, LLP, a regional California law firm with six locations, is seeking an experienced attorney to help lead our growing San Francisco office. The ideal candidate will have an established book of business with a desire to grow or expand in the Employment Litigation or Business Litigation practice areas. P&F is a different kind of law firm in that we allow our attorneys to blaze their own trails in a way that’s authentic to each person and we have tremendous respect for differences in practice styles. We are entrepreneurs who work independently, while also rolling up our sleeves to collaborate across offices to best serve our clients.

We allow our attorneys a great deal of autonomy to build their own practice with the backing of a brand-name firm without big-firm bureaucracy. We are here to build a legacy, promote the next generation of leaders and mentor and support junior attorneys. We are looking for an enthusiastic risk-taker who wants to make P&F a long-term home. The person would work hand in hand with our San Francisco office Managing Partner to develop and execute on a strategic plan to grow our client portfolio in the Bay Area.

Qualifications and Prior Experience:

  • Minimum of eight years of private law practice experience
  • Demonstrated ability to originate and maintain client relationships
  • Comfortable running a smaller branch office with larger firm resources
  • California State Bar admission
  • Experience working with technology industry clients a plus
