Roza is an associate attorney in the Business Litigation Group at the firm’s Los Angeles office. She focuses her practice on complex business litigation, consumer litigation, and insurance coverage disputes. In addition, Roza counsels and defends employers in a variety of employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, retaliation, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour disputes.
Roza advises Scandinavian companies in the areas of employment law and business litigation, particularly Swedish and other Scandinavian companies that are developing a presence in the United States. She also assists American companies and individuals to navigate the Swedish legal system.
Roza earned her J.D. from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, and her LL.M. (Juristexamen) from Uppsala University, Sweden. While in law school, Roza served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Diane J. Humetewa of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona and to the Honorable Donn Kessler of the Arizona Court of Appeals.
Before joining Payne & Fears, Roza was an associate at a national Los Angeles-based civil defense firm, handling a variety of commercial litigation matters on behalf of corporate and insurance clients.
Roza lived in New Zealand and Sweden before moving to the United States, and she is fluent in Turkish and Swedish.
