Irvine, Calif. — On January 1, 2014 Payne & Fears LLP officially welcomed employment partner Paul Coady to the firm’s Los Angeles office. Following his arrival was Samantha Evans, an associate specializing in labor and employment matters who will join the Irvine headquarters of the firm.

Paul specializes in high exposure litigation, particularly in the labor and employment arena. His practice includes the defense of wage and hour class actions, wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment, whistleblower, and labor-management litigation. Prior to joining Payne & Fears Paul was a partner with Winston & Strawn LLP. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Dartmouth College.
Samantha’s labor and employment practice is concentrated on the representation of management in all aspects of litigation including single-plaintiff discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination and retaliation matters. She also has experience with large wage and hour class actions and labor relations issues such as union strike or picketing activity. Samantha was previously with Seyfarth Shaw LLP in its Los Angeles office. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College.
