Julie J. Bisceglia is a principal attorney at Payne & Fears LLP specializing in civil litigation, with a particular focus on commercial litigation. Ms. Bisceglia has extensive experience litigating complex matters including copyright, trademark, defamation, trade secrets, and other intellectual property matters, appeals in state and federal court, corporate governance, franchising, and insurance bad faith.
Ms. Bisceglia has successfully defended claims of copyright and trademark infringement and civil rights violations. She has handled numerous entertainment law disputes, and obtained a multi-million dollar judgment in a defamation action, Sommer v. Gabor (1995) 40 Cal.App.4th 1455.
Ms. Bisceglia is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Los Angeles Litigation Inn of Court, and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers. She served as an editor of the UCLA Law Review and received the First Place Award in the Nathan Burkan Memorial Competition (ASCAP). Ms. Bisceglia has published several articles on entertainment and business law matters.
