C. Darryl Cordero is a partner in the Business Litigation Group at Payne & Fears LLP where he specializes in business insurance disputes, health care litigation and complex commercial litigation. Mr. Cordero has extensive experience representing diverse businesses in a wide range of insurance disputes, including health care providers in disputes involving managed care contracts, partnership and joint venture agreements and insurance matters. Mr. Cordero has recovered over $100 million for clients in these matters.
Mr. Cordero also handles complex class action matters. He successfully recovered over $50 million as class counsel for the California hospital industry in a dispute over the management and accounting of a group insurance program by a major insurance group.
Mr. Cordero was selected to Southern California Super Lawyers in 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009. He is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
Before joining Payne & Fears LLP, Mr. Cordero was a principal of Weissburg and Aronson, a firm specializing in health care litigation. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable Harry Lee Hudspeth of the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas.
